Lunchbox Cowboy

I came back yesterday night from my weekend off (we went to a wonderful wedding in western France, it was just perfect!) and what was waiting for me?? The Lunchbox Cowboy! I had won David Fletcher's CD in Heather Moore's giveaway a few weeks ago and now it's mine! :) Heather designed the wonderful CD cover/packaging... I can't stop looking at it! Haven't had time to listen to all the tunes yet but if you want to know how David's Cowboy sounds, hop over to his myspace page and enjoy! Isn't it great to own a CD you love to look at as much as listening to it?? Love it!
THANK YOU HEATHER!!!

living in a shell...

Summer definitely seems to be here now! yay! I spent some time around the pool this morning and it made me long for the seaside... that's how these new colorful illustration and pattern were created!

Wishing a fab' weekend to all of you!

weddings...

Everything around me seems to be all about weddings right now... a lot of friends getting married, some jobs about weddings and the whole dress-shoes-accessories hunt to proudly attend the weddings I'm invited to! Between this, work and a little rest around Y's swimming pool, I am being kept pretty busy!...
This is a pattern I did some time ago, when everything was a bit calmer and not so much about weddings! But don't get me wrong: I love the wedding atmosphere! :)

lollipops daydream...

A yummy pattern for today! Unfortunately, the pattern itself is not edible yet (I'm not making the promise it will ever be!!)... too bad! (haha...) Still, you can dream of colourful, tasty lollipops! I'm not a fan of lollipops myself but I would probably have a try at these ones since they look so yummy!...

test...

Today I made a test: I printed 5 sets of 3 different bird cards on a cream 100% recycled paper. I think they look great! Unfortunately it's already 8 PM so the picture is a quite bad one, I promise to take better ones soon so I can show you the cards properly!
Now, I need your opinion, anyone who never commented on this blog: now is the moment to do it and tell me what you would like to see in my Etsy shop!! I need you 49 followers and everybody else who reads this blog "secretly" (haha...) to write!
YES, this is a shop opening announcement, it won't happen tomorrow but pretty soon(...I hope!!)
So, feel free to tell me anything you would want to see in the shop: prints, cards, notebooks, teatowels, cushions... anything! I don't know exactly yet if everything will be possible but I will try to do my very best! (If anyone knows a good textile printer...!!!) I would also love to hear from you which patterns/designs of mines you like best... which styles/colours...?
So, use your keyboards, I'm waiting for your answers! :)
Have a lovely afternoon/evening!

birds, birds, birds!

There must be something going on with birds in my head! Anyway... I have been working on these patterns during the week-end besides having a very nice time enjoying the warmth and the sun until late in the evening, it's difficult to explain how very much I love summer!! I guess I'm not the only one! So... how about some nice garden cushions covered up in my birds patterns?? Yes PLEASE!

bird Edward wishes you a lovely weekend!

Here's a new pattern to wish you a happy, sunny weekend! It doesn't resemble my usual "childish" kind of patterns but I like it a lot actually, the soft lines and the weightless feeling when I look at it are new and pretty interesting to me!
I called this little fellow Edward, why? I don't know, I think he looks like a noble bird and the name seemed quite appropriate for him! :)
Have a great weekend everyone!

father's day [wine labels]

I have been working on father's day wine labels lately. It's a common project with Annita Soble (who is coordinating everything and contacted us to collaborate) and several designers all working for FeastForTheEyes, designing beer-, wine-, gift bag-labels to customize the bottles you buy with designer labels. We're just starting the project but the experience of working with other very talented designers and seeing their different propositions is very exciting! I will let you know how the project goes on and where you will be able to find our labels in stores soon!

Have a nice start in the week!

first stamp carving experience...

... and I must say it was a lot of fun and very exciting! I loved the fact of wondering how it would come out and if it would look good once coloured and fixed on paper... It's a little uneaven and not of top top quality but I guess it's all a question of time, patience and experience until you get a perfect stamp. For the most gorgeous stamps ever, hop over to Geninne Zlatkis' blog, her work is totally amazing!
I hope you're having a sunny and bright week so far!

tennis fun - part 2

A new pattern, inspired by what has been going on here for 10 days! It makes me want to go back on a tennis court (to play not watch this time), I haven't been on one for over a year...! I guess I have to work on that!

Now what do you think about the pattern? On what kind of object/fabric could it look good? I like the simplicity of a one-color-only pattern... and I'd like to see it on a tennis towel, the one you need when it gets hot! (maybe the illustration on one side and the pattern on the other...)

tennis fun

This week-end has been wonderful! A bright blue sky, lots of sun and a day spent at Roland Garros! That should be enough inspiration for new patterns this week!

I took that picture of Serena Williams on Saturday, at first I noticed I had wrongly set my camera so the quality of the shot isn't great, but the more I look at it, the more it makes me think of a vintage photography and I like it a lot that way!
