I have found a new philosophy lately: instead of complaining about not posting enough or not getting everything done I'd like to, I will now see everyhting on the brighter side: being happy I get the things done I do, because after all, it's quite a lot! :)
What do you think about my frog king? isn't he funny? I think this pattern could do well on bathing suits, beach-bags or -towels, anything that has to do with the summer splash fun!
Maybe I should have started with a mother's day (June 7th) pattern, since it comes before father's day (June 21st) in France... but you know how it goes, sometimes the illustration comes from itself and you can't do anything about it! which is good actually... :)
So this card has been made to wish all the dear daddies a happy father's day! A mother's day illustration/card/pattern might follow soon even if it's too late for all those who already celebrated it...!
A new pattern -"veggie dip"- and matching labels for today! The pattern could be used for teatowels, placemats or napkins and the labels could be sticked on wherever you need them! How do you like my funny friends...? :)
Here's a happy summer-parade pattern: a funny carnivorous plant enjoying summertime, eating all nice fruits you get when the sun shines bright. It's a vegetarian plant though: she gets along pretty well with birds and butterflies... I thought all elements together with their 3-4 strong colors look like a parade, (celebrating summer!) and being a pattern, the illustration gets a quite geometrical construction, similar to those of usual parades... Which colors do you like best?
Note to my usual blog readers: I'm very sorry for the lack of posts this week but I've been super busy, I promise I'll do better next week!
After 4 very busy days (with a lot of non-fun stuff to do...) it's time for a little holiday again! We have another 3 days weekend here in France and I'm leaving for Germany tomorrow first thing in the morning! I bet I'd get the double of work done if each week was only 4 days long and rewarded with a 3 days weekend!!! Anyway, sun is shining and I'm longing for summer... I think this illustration would make a nice card to send during summer holidays...
It's been 3 days we're back in France now but my head is still a bit on holiday in Belgium... Here are some pictures of our wonderful room in Brugge, I loved the decoration and it felt very inspiring and relaxing to be living there for 3 days! The design below was inspired by the room's environement though I changed the colors a bit and added the little fellows to it :)
You guessed it, the surprise-city was Brugge in Belgium (also known as North-Europe's Venice)...! Every single thing in these 3 wonderful days was perfect! The city, the mood, the weather (almost!), the room we stayed in (I looooved the decoration -will post about it later...), the food (restaurants and breakfast brought to our room by our wonderful hosts), the chocolate, the walks, the boat-tour, the parks, the baby ducks in the parks, even the 3-hour car ride to get there... you heard (read) me: every single thing! It was the perfect - needed - relaxing week-end and I'm so thankful for Yann's -my boyfriend- organization! I could just walk around the city and enjoy 3 days without computer, internet and phone calls! What a luxury!
Now I'm back for 4 intensive work days before another 3 days trip (to my grandmother's house in Germany) and I can't wait! Funny how holidays are addictive! :)
Feel free to leave me your comments! It's always great to feel the support and get some feedback on my work! :)
