Owlcats. Or catbats. Or batowls. Anyway, they are drop dead cute!!
I initially thought they were cats..(those ears) but then, of course, on second look...I think you should go with "imaginary creatures" - some of the greatest illustrations are those imaginary friends. (Just my 2¢)..
